Hi at all,
it's a little bit technically, but do someone knows how SAC stores imported data? Column or row based orientated?
@Maik Aydin, SAC is running under HANA Cloud Services. Since HANA is getting involved, it can capable of both column/row based storage. Hopefully it should use column based storage for analytical purposes.
@harikrishnans thanks for your quick reply and you hit my thoughts. It should be column based for our purposes, but I didn't found any reliable information about that. Can I switch the storage type on my SAC-Tenant? Or does the structure of my imported data define how HANA stores the data?
@Maik Aydin, I am not sure on this. But I guess, we can't switch the storage type of our SAC-Tenant. Most probably it will get compressed and stored as in HANA. Its my guess from the understanding, we will wait for the experts reply on this.
you can not influence the way the data is being stored.
